Chess (en-suite double room)

“Chess” after The Chess Match, a coloured engraving from 1804 by T. Rickards after Charles Emilius Gold. It depicts an Indian and a foreigner playing chess while smoking hookahs on a verandah (two words that have passed into English from India).
